SOIL COMPOSITION: calcareous marle with some lime and rich in microelements.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot

ALCOHOL: 6% Vol.

HARVEST: Manual, beginning September

COLOUR : ruby red with violet hues.
BOUQUET: vinous, pleasant, characteristic.
FLAVOUR: dry, full bodied, harmonious, moderate acidity.

CELLAR CONDITION: stored in a cool dry place, shaded from the light.

CONSERVATION: several years.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16 - 18°.

FOOD TO BE SERVED WITH: accompanies any meal. 

DETAILS: the name comes from the switness of the grapes, though this is not a sweet wine. Infact the most typical characteristic of Dolcetto is its definite tendency toward tartness.
